The US rice company, RiceTec (Houston, Texas), is to launch a new generation of non-genetically modified herbicide-tolerant rice in Brazil, newswire Agrolink reports. The “improved” imidazolinone herbicide-tolerant rice will be available this season in products such as Inov and XP113. The FullPage branded technology will be part of a “complete weed management” offer to farmers from RiceTec and the ChemChina-owned Adama group, including a team of technical service representatives. The two companies agreed a collaboration for rice weed control solutions in 2017. The collaboration covers imidazolinone and acetyl CoA carboxylase (ACCase) inhibitor herbicides.
